Withdraw Policy

The Journal of Clinical Case Studies and Medical Reports (JCCSMR) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record while providing clear and transparent guidelines for manuscript withdrawal.

Withdrawal Before Peer Review

Authors may request withdrawal of a submitted manuscript before the peer-review process begins by sending a formal written request to the editorial office. The request must clearly state the reason for withdrawal and should be approved by all co-authors.

Withdrawal During Peer Review

If a manuscript is under peer review, authors may request withdrawal by providing a valid written justification. The editorial office will evaluate the request and confirm withdrawal after completing necessary administrative procedures. Authors are expected to respect the time and effort of editors and reviewers.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Withdrawal requests after acceptance will be considered only under exceptional circumstances. Authors must provide a detailed explanation, and the editorial board will decide based on the stage of publication and ethical considerations.

Withdrawal After Publication

Once published, an article becomes part of the permanent scholarly record and cannot normally be withdrawn. In cases involving serious ethical issues, major errors, or research misconduct, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with international publication ethics standards.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that:

  • All co-authors approve the withdrawal request

  • The manuscript is not simultaneously submitted elsewhere during review

  • Withdrawal requests are submitted in a timely and professional manner

  • Accurate and complete reasons are provided when required

Editorial Authority

The editorial board reserves the right to investigate unusual or repeated withdrawal requests and may take appropriate action in cases of suspected unethical publishing behavior.

Commitment to Ethical Publishing

The Journal of Clinical Case Studies and Medical Reports is dedicated to upholding high ethical standards, protecting the integrity of the scientific record, and ensuring a transparent and responsible publication process.
