Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Clinical Case Studies and Medical Reports (JCCSMR) follows a rigorous and transparent peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and clinically relevant case reports and medical research.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, and clinical significance. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements are forwarded for external peer review.

The journal follows a double-blind peer-review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. This ensures impartial evaluation, reduces bias, and promotes fair academic assessment.

Each manuscript is typically reviewed by at least two independent experts with experience in clinical medicine, specialty practice, or medical research. Reviewers are selected based on their subject expertise and professional background.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and uniqueness of the clinical case or study

  • Clinical accuracy and scientific validity

  • Diagnostic and therapeutic relevance

  • Quality of clinical documentation and interpretation

  • Ethical compliance, including patient consent and confidentiality

  • Clarity, structure, and educational value

Based on reviewer feedback, the editorial board may take one of the following decisions:

  • Accept the manuscript without revision

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Request major revisions and resubmission

  • Reject the manuscript

When revisions are required, authors are expected to address reviewer comments carefully and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated before final acceptance.

All peer-review activities are conducted under strict confidentiality. Reviewers must not disclose, share, or use any information from manuscripts under review for personal or professional purposes.

The Journal of Clinical Case Studies and Medical Reports is committed to maintaining a fair, unbiased, and high-quality peer-review system that supports clinical learning and medical advancement worldwide.
