Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Surgical Practice and Clinical Care follows a strict and transparent peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and clinically relevant research in surgery and perioperative care.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess relevance to the journal scope, originality, and scientific quality. Manuscripts that meet the minimum requirements are forwarded for external peer review.

The journal follows a double-blind peer-review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. This ensures objectivity, reduces bias, and promotes fair evaluation of all submissions.

Each manuscript is typically reviewed by at least two independent experts with relevant expertise in surgical sciences, clinical care, or related medical disciplines.

Reviewers evaluate submissions based on:

• Accuracy of data analysis and interpretation

Based on reviewer recommendations, the editorial board may decide to:

• Accept with minor revisions

• Request major revisions and resubmission

• Reject the manuscript

Authors are expected to carefully address reviewer comments and resubmit revised manuscripts within the given timeframe. Revised submissions may undergo additional review before final acceptance.

All peer-review activities are conducted under strict confidentiality. Reviewers must not share, disclose, or use unpublished information obtained during the review process.
