Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Medical and Clinical Innovations (JMCI) maintains a strict anti-plagiarism policy to ensure originality, academic integrity, and high scientific standards in all published medical and clinical research.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using reliable plagiarism detection tools before entering the peer-review process. This ensures that the content is original and that all sources, data, and prior research are properly acknowledged.

Plagiarism in any form is considered a serious ethical violation and is not acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Direct copying of text, tables, figures, or ideas without proper citation

  • Paraphrasing substantial content from existing publications without acknowledgment

  • Self-plagiarism or duplicate publication of the author’s own work without disclosure

  • Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals

  • Improper reuse of clinical data, images, or results without attribution

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of review or publication, the journal may take appropriate actions, including:

  • Immediate rejection of the manuscript

  • Request for revision in minor cases

  • Retraction of published articles if discovered post-publication

  • Notification to authors’ institutions in serious cases of misconduct

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their submissions and proper citation of all referenced work.

The journal follows internationally recognized publication ethics guidelines, including COPE standards, to handle all cases of suspected plagiarism fairly and transparently.

Through this policy, the Journal of Medical and Clinical Innovations upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and ensures trust in medical and clinical research.
