Withdraw Policy

The Journal of Material Science and Innovation Research recognizes that authors may occasionally need to withdraw a manuscript from the publication process. This policy ensures transparency, fairness, and the integrity of the scholarly publishing system.

Withdrawal Before Peer Review

Authors may request withdrawal of a manuscript before the peer-review process begins by submitting a written request to the editorial office. The request must clearly state the reason for withdrawal and must be approved by all co-authors.

Withdrawal During Peer Review

If a manuscript is under peer review, authors may request withdrawal by providing a valid written justification. The editorial office will evaluate the request and confirm withdrawal after completing necessary administrative procedures. Authors are encouraged to respect the time and effort of editors and reviewers.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Requests for withdrawal after acceptance will only be considered in exceptional circumstances. Authors must provide a detailed explanation, and the editorial board will decide based on the stage of publication and the reason provided.

Withdrawal After Publication

Once published, an article becomes part of the permanent scholarly record and cannot normally be withdrawn. In cases involving serious errors, ethical concerns, or research misconduct, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with established publication ethics standards.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that:

  • All co-authors agree to the withdrawal request

  • The manuscript is not simultaneously submitted to another journal

  • Withdrawal requests are submitted promptly and professionally

  • Accurate reasons are provided for withdrawal

Editorial Authority

The editorial board reserves the right to investigate repeated or suspicious withdrawal requests and may take appropriate action in cases of unethical publication practices.
