Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Material Science and Innovation Research follows a rigorous and transparent peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and scientifically reliable research in materials science and related fields.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess relevance to the journal scope, originality, and basic scientific quality. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements are forwarded for external peer review.

The journal follows a double-blind peer-review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. This ensures objectivity, reduces bias, and supports fair evaluation of all submissions.

Each manuscript is typically reviewed by at least two independent experts with relevant expertise in materials science, nanotechnology, engineering, or related disciplines.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and scientific contribution

  • Experimental or theoretical rigor

  • Accuracy of data, analysis, and interpretation

  • Relevance to materials science and innovation

  • Clarity, structure, and presentation quality

  • Proper citation and academic integrity

  • Ethical compliance in research conduct

Based on reviewer recommendations, the editorial board may decide to:

  • Accept the manuscript without revision

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Request major revisions and resubmission

  • Reject the manuscript

Authors are expected to carefully address reviewer comments and resubmit revised manuscripts within the specified timeframe. Revised submissions may undergo additional review before final acceptance.

All peer-review activities are conducted under strict confidentiality. Reviewers must not share, disclose, or use any unpublished information obtained during the review process.
