Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine and Research follows a rigorous and transparent peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and clinically relevant research in cardiovascular medicine and related biomedical sciences.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, and basic scientific quality. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements are forwarded for external peer review.

The journal follows a double-blind peer-review system, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. This ensures impartial evaluation, reduces bias, and supports fair academic assessment.

Each manuscript is typically reviewed by at least two independent experts with specialization in cardiology, cardiovascular research, or related biomedical fields. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, academic background, and research experience.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and scientific novelty

  • Clinical and scientific validity

  • Study design and methodological rigor

  • Accuracy of data analysis and interpretation

  • Relevance to cardiovascular medicine and translational research

  • Ethical compliance in human or animal studies

  • Clarity, organization, and quality of presentation

Based on reviewer feedback, the editorial board may take one of the following decisions:

  • Accept the manuscript without revision

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Request major revisions and resubmission

  • Reject the manuscript

When revisions are required, authors are expected to address reviewer comments carefully and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated before final acceptance.

All peer-review activities are conducted under strict confidentiality. Reviewers must not disclose, share, or use any information from manuscripts under review for personal or professional purposes.
