Withdraw Policy

The Journal of Nanoscience and Advanced Nanotechnology  recognizes that authors may occasionally need to withdraw a manuscript from the publication process. This policy has been established to ensure transparency, fairness, and the integrity of scholarly publishing.

Withdrawal Before Peer Review

Authors may request withdrawal of a submitted manuscript before the peer-review process begins by sending a written request to the editorial office. The request should clearly state the reason for withdrawal and be submitted by the corresponding author with the consent of all co-authors.

Withdrawal During Peer Review

If a manuscript is under peer review, authors may request withdrawal by providing a valid explanation in writing. The editorial office will review the request and confirm the withdrawal after completing the necessary administrative procedures. Authors are encouraged to respect the time and effort contributed by editors and reviewers.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

Requests for withdrawal after a manuscript has been accepted will only be considered under exceptional circumstances. Authors must submit a detailed justification, and the editorial board will evaluate the request based on the publication stage and the reasons provided.

Withdrawal After Publication

Once an article has been published, it becomes part of the permanent scholarly record and cannot normally be withdrawn. In cases involving significant errors, ethical concerns, or research misconduct, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with accepted publication ethics guidelines.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are expected to:

  • Obtain agreement from all co-authors before requesting withdrawal.

  • Avoid simultaneous submission of the manuscript to other journals while it is under consideration.

  • Submit withdrawal requests promptly and professionally.

  • Provide accurate and complete reasons for withdrawal when requested.

Editorial Authority

The editorial board reserves the right to investigate unusual, repeated, or unethical withdrawal requests and may take appropriate action where publication ethics have been violated.
