Peer Review Policy
The Journal of Advanced Neurology and Neuroscience follows a rigorous and transparent peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and scientifically reliable research in the fields of neurology and neuroscience.
All submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editorial office to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope, basic scientific quality, and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts that pass this preliminary screening are forwarded for external peer review.
The journal follows a double-blind peer-review system, where both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the evaluation process. This approach ensures impartiality, minimizes bias, and promotes fair scientific assessment.
Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts in the relevant subject area. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, research experience, and subject specialization to ensure a thorough and constructive evaluation.
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:
- Originality and novelty of the research
- Scientific and methodological soundness
- Clarity and organization of presentation
- Validity of data and interpretation of results
- Relevance to neurology and neuroscience
- Ethical compliance in research design and reporting
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept the manuscript without changes
- Accept with minor revisions
- Request major revisions and resubmission
- Reject the manuscript
When revisions are requested, authors are expected to respond to reviewer comments carefully and submit a revised version within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers or editors before a final decision is made.
The journal ensures that the peer-review process is conducted with confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism. Reviewers must not share, use, or disclose any information from the manuscripts they evaluate.
